WYANDOTTE GETS JUMP ON SAGIAW OLD GOLDS
The Saginaw Old Gold' hosted the Wyandotte Stars For their last home game of the season on Saturday last week and came up short 16-6. This is the same team they beat two weeks earlier 2-1. Kevin "Big Whee" Beemer was the hitting star for the Gold's going 4 of 5 (2 RBI's). Ben "Gig Ben" Earley was again outstanding in centerfield, hauling in 5 long fly outs. The Gold's ( 2011 World Champs) take their 17-5 record to the Ohio Cup this weekend in Columbus, Ohio they play the toughest line up in the tournament; Cincinnati Red Stockings, Clodbusters ( 3 time World Champs), Columbus Capitals (World Champ 2010), Addison Mt. Stars, Indianapolis Blues, & Akron Black Stokings.
