Game 14:
The Saginaw ‘Old Golds’ went into Grand Blanc to see if they could even their yearly series. After losing 13-1 the week before, they made the correct adjustments and came away with an impressive-hard fought 3-2 win. The outfield of Guerra, Rousseau, and Ruple played errorless ball. The infield was outstanding, especially the 1st sacker Ryan ‘Britches’ Dost. Rick ‘Slink’ Spitz was the only Saginaw player with two hits. The pitching has been great all year, as it was today, with ‘Big Wheel’ Beemer and ‘Ducky’ Mahan mixing up their pitches. The game ball went to Sonny ‘the Hustler’ Guerra, who displayed with his ambidextrous leftfield expertise. The season record now stands at 12-1-1. The next game is in Saginaw on 9/12/2009 at 2:00 PM vs. the ‘Mighty River Hogs’ of Midland.
