“Old Golds Earn Base Ball Victory”
Nick Hammond had four hits, while John Piersall, Adam McCauley, Brandon Daig, and Patrick Curry each had three hits in leading the Saginaw Old Golds to a 12-5 victory over the Midland Mighty RiverHogs on Friday in Midland. The win improves the Old Golds’ record to 4-2. They collected 25 hits compared to 15 for the RiverHogs in the nine-inning match. The Old Golds, RiverHogs and the Bay City Independents will put on a Vintage Base Ball Club exhibition at 5 p.m. Saturday at Dow Diamond prior to the Great Lakes Loons’ game
