“Vintage Base Ball at Dow Diamond”
The Saginaw Old Golds, Bay City Independents and Mighty River Hogs of Midland County participated in a 90 minute exhibition of 1860’s era base ball Saturday for the Great Lakes Loons “Turn Back the Clock Night” festivities at Dow Diamond. The clubs played a round robin format of three 30 minute games as Bay City defeated Midland in the first match with Saginaw sweeping the final two matches. The Old Gold compete this weekend at Greenfield Village in the World Tournament of Historic Base Ball.
