Carrollton’e Bill Ramey, playing the role of Abraham Lincoln, throws out the first pitch before the Saginaw Old Golds Vintage Base Ball Club’s game against the Rochester Grangers at Ojibway Island on Sunday. John “Lumberjack” Piersall and Brandon “Baby Bull” Daig each had three hits to lead the Old Golds to an 11-8 victory in nine full innings. The Old Golds improve to 11-4 with the win. Saginaw returns to action on Sunday, traveling to play the Port Huron Welkins. The Old Golds close their season by hosting the Midland Mighty River Hogs at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Ojibway Island
